Brian Rogove
Founder and CEO, A-Star Education
Brian Rogove is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of A-Star-Education Holdings. Headquartered in Singapore, A-Star-Education is a global education platform founded by Mr. Rogove in partnership with Verlinvest, a Belgian investment holding company. The A-Star-Education’s mission is preparing students for a bright tomorrow. Prior to founding ChangedEDU, Brian served as Chief Executive Officer of Asia Pacific for Cognita for over 8 years. Since founding the business in 2008, Brian grew the Asia business from a start-up to representing over 2/3 of the Group EBITDA.
Brian has invested US$600 million in the Asia Pacific region over the last 10years across a wide range of both M&A and Greenfield assets in the education sector. Mr. Rogove also led two rounds of private equity investment into Cognita, including the sale of 50% of the company to KKR in 2013. Additionally, he led a £280 million public bond offering in 2015, the first for the Company
Having started and exited several businesses, Brian has over 22 years of experience in the Asia Pacific region and 17 years of experience as an entrepreneur. Prior to joining Cognita, he was a Founding Partner at Tuscan Ventures, a Private Equity firm focused on growth capital investments in India and Greater Asia Pacific. Building on years of business development and operating experience in emerging markets, Brian served on Tuscan’s Investment Committee and led deal sourcing, structuring and execution. Brian was Managing Director, Asia for Coherix, a Venture Capital backed US based start-up technology company. He started his career in Business Development for Loctite Corporation (Henkel). After earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Northern Illinois University, Brian received his MBA from the University of Chicago.
